Soft Soffits

The Weakest Point on Your House (Probably)

So you’re a raccoon. Or a special forces team of highly trained fox squirrels. It’s cold, it’s rainy, winter is approaching and you’ve certainly not taken any steps to NOT be pregnant. What do?

In many cases, you climb up on a roof where no one is watching and you find a weak point to get into that dry, warm attic full of fluffy insulation. And 99/100 times, that weak point is the soffit.

Most homeowners have never heard of a soffit despite it being a key feature of the architecture of many homes. It’s usually made of siding material and it’s so flimsy that a pregnant raccoon can pry it open and help herself to the space above your head aka your attic.

If this has happened to you, call Cason Wildlife MGMT. We’ll climb up on your roof, assess the damage, trap and remove the animal(s) humanely and safely, and then shore up all of that weak soffit so this doesn’t happen again.

Because there are few feelings as satisfying as the security of knowing that your soffit isn’t soft anymore.
